About

Hi, I’m Sofia and I’ve been a Registered Nurse for over 14 years. My journey into Expert Witness and advocacy work began from a deep desire to stand up for what’s right in healthcare and make sure that people’s experiences are properly represented in the healthcare and legal process. After years of working closely with patients and their families, I know how important it is for medical facts to be clear and fully understood as well as patients to be seen and heard.

I became an advocate and expert witness because I wanted to make a difference -ensuring that medical evidence is explained simply and accurately, and helping everyone involved in a case to make informed, fair decisions. Additionally, I wanted those patients who feel unheard or unseen to experience a different working relationship with professionals.  My work is all about giving an honest, professional view of the facts, as well as standing up for patient’s rights and I’m passionate about doing this in a way that supports justice and fairness.

What drives me is knowing that my experience and knowledge can help bring clarity to complex situations. I care deeply about the impact my work has on real lives, and I’m committed to ensuring that the legal system gets the information it needs to make the best possible decisions as well as ensuring patients get the opportunity to have advocacy that is independent and helps where it is really needed.

I have been an RGN since 2013 and have extensive hands-on experience in both the NHS and private sector. I honed my skills working in medical, surgical, gynecological, safeguarding, early intervention, special needs, and learning disability settings for my entire career.

I regularly work in NHS complaints and resolution management and continue to practice as a hands-on nurse and am currently in practice as a freelance nurse consultant, working in both community and hospital settings.
